I’m a 21 year old Trinidadian born, Guyanese raised, New York educated and Florida mellowed out woman who aspires to one day, influence change in the world.
My mediums of expression include by are not limited to: Writing, Spoken Word, Music, Dance, blogging, debate, unbearably bad drawings and kicking ass at video games.
My interests vary and have to particular order of priority. I am an aspiring writer (part time of course) and my ultimate dream is to be a Pro-gamer. My current job is customer service / web entry editor and I hope to one day be a Forensic Psychologist.
——
My, how things have changed. The above was written on August 21, 2008 and its sad to say that I’m nothing closer to any of the aspirations I had for myself in the creative aspects of my life at that time. I’m working at the same place, doing web content/web production instead of customer service and I’m interning at a publishing company.
Being a pro-gamer is far fetched, since I am female and automatically in the segregated minority of gaming. Forensic Psychologist is a good career but I’ve decided that it may not be the best thing, I plan on having a family and an all consuming career isn’t the way to go. Going back to school this upcoming fall, to study…something that I haven’t fully decided; Religion, Philosophy…who knows?
Fact of the matter is, when I started the blog, I thought it would be a way for me to get to know myself and for me to channel the issues I had with the world to the world in an effort to understand people and social interactions. I understand less about people now than I did a year ago and understanding myself is a lost cause.
I have a new aim. To simply allow myself, whoever that is, whoever that is going to be; to exist in the purest, least complicated way I can find. I hope to find the meaning of the words: family, friendship, husband and child while I do so.
Wish me luck un-named internet friend who may or may not be there…wish me luck.

I really love the way you write. It makes me feel warm inside like I am hearing a friend I have known for years and have a lot of history with, respect and deep compassion for, tell me about her family and here dreams. Wow.
I am very pleased that you found “The collective human.” interesting. I have been thinking along these lines for some time now but when the thoughts were forming they were somewhat confusing to me. We are taught that we are individuals, I am not in argument with that as the human body has its separate parts which make up the whole. I sometimes explain to people that my body has two arms they are the same but also are a little different. One are does not attack the other arm because of these differences. Many time my arms work together and team up to accomplish things like lifting heavy boxes or doing push ups. Sometime one works while the other is idle, sometimes they do two different things such as hold a book, while the other holds a sandwich. I hope I am not loosing you here. The message is that they are different but also the same, they work together at time doing the same thing and at time they work separately doing two different things. They do not attack each other.
So why should Humans attach each other because they are a little different? You are a part of me just as I am a part of you. We are connected and as such we are able to communicate.
We also have a lot in common such as I was born in New York City, where you lived, and grew up in Florida for much of my life. Just some personal trivia.
I am encouraged by your offer to help. lord knows I could use it. I read about your story about your daughter Brook-Lynn, (What a fantastic New York inspired name.) This stuck out to me, “she makes me want to dedicate myself to a higher power to ensure her future” I believe that this is the reason I found your blog. I ask for guidance & for help, you express wanting to insure your daughters future, we are drawn together even though our geographical positions separate us. I believe that “Helden Galerie” and its mission will help to insure that your daughter and my nephew along with other children, future generations of children will have a chance to live in a world that is not on the edge of its own end. We have groups, charities and non-profits that work to help people, animals, environment, but struggle to find the funding they need to continue to fulfill their missions.
I believe that “Helden Galerie” can be that help for funding. I believe that it can keep charities & non-profits that are a step away from extinction from lack of funding survive. I believe that “Helden Galerie” can help provide that funding.
I could use you help in gaining support for “Helden Galerie” spreading information about its mission. Helping me insure that the people who visit the blog leave comments, ask questions, get involved and continue to spread the news to the people they know.
I could use Help finding Photographers to donate photographic Images and by doing so supporting Charities and Non-profits, becoming Hero’s in the process. I would like to show the world that Hero’s can shoot something else other than a gun.
The first thing you could do is mention “Helden Galerie” on you blog using your gift for writing with emothion to connect to people, to inspire them to help. If you would like to continue your support through being directly involved I would be happy to give you the email addresses of two Photographers I have written to but have received no response from. One I believed would be a great fit to “Helden Galerie” Because he shoots all the movie posters for the Supper Hero movies (Helden in English means Hero’s) such as Spider Man & Iron Man. I believe if he were to read your words that we may get a response from him. We may achieve his support.
Please let me know what you would be willing to do. How involved you would like to become. Just as in a political campaign the campaign for a healthier world needs it supporters who are willing to connect with people who will in turn become supporters willing to connect with others. This is how our Human body will be healed. Help has to spread through the body in order to protect it from the things that are eating away at it.
I am sorry that this was a long reply, if you read it to this point, thank you for your persistence.
Peace, success & creativity to you.

Hehe, you have a lot of goals: change the world, be a pro gamer, and be a forensic psychologist. I think you can accomplish them all, if you REALLY try, which is pretty amazing.
